Hayley Hinton (BSc hons Occupational Therapy) is a clinical specialist occupational therapist, she is a director of and cofounded OT Partners Ltd in 2014.
Hayley qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000, finding a passion within neurology early in her career. Since graduating she has worked in a variety of neuro-rehabilitation settings in both the UK and New Zealand. She has worked in out-patient, inpatient and community settings, treating a wide range of neurological disorders such as Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Hayley spent 9 years working with clients who have complex neurological disabilities at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. Here she specialised in neuro-rehabilitation working with people at different stages of their rehabilitation pathway. During this time she gained experience in working with complex postural needs and Disorders of Consciousness. Hayley progressed to working as a clinical specialist where her role included supervising, teaching and advising other occupational therapists as well as leading and developing the occupational therapy service.
Hayley has a keen interest in upper limb management including splinting and spasticity management, leading and teaching on splinting courses. Hayley has worked as a lead splint clinic advisor and part of a spasticity clinic. She is trained in the use of Saebo products, Functional Electrical Stimulation and lycra garments.
Hayley is HCPC registered and a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists as well as the Specialist Section for Neurological Practice. Hayley is committed to continuing her professional development..
